Glazed Carrots

Glazed Carrots

 

1 pound baby carrots

¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar

¼ cup butter

Salt

Pepper

 

Add the carrots to a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-high. Cook 20 to 25 minutes or until very tender. Drain.

Return carrots to saucepan over medium heat, and add the butter and brown sugar. Stir until the butter melts, the sugar dissolves, and the mixture thickens to coat the carrots. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
