Why Cheat Day Recipes?
A long time ago, before Camilla found out about all her allergies, she went through my recipe binder and marked all the ones she wanted. By the time I got around to making this blog, she'd learned that she's allergic to dairy and gluten. I adjusted as many of her chosen recipes as possible to be dairy- and gluten-free, but for some, it seemed impossible. Too many of the ingredients were milk, butter, and cheese or packaged ingredients that might not have the right substitute-able versions available. That's where the "cheat day" recipes come in.
I know there are days when you decide the pain is worth it to have exactly what you're craving. When that happens, look under the "Camilla's Cheat Day Recipes" tab for recipes to lead you astray.
Of course, you don't have to take my opinion as the final word. If you know of good substitutes for those ingredients, give it a try. The worst that can happen is you'll learn what doesn't work. And that's always worthwhile.
